Volunteers work at the Career Closet at the Briarcliff Congregational Church on a rotating basis on selected Saturday mornings from 9 AM to 12 noon.  Responsibilities include:

Client Days

• Assisting clients with clothing selection and outfit suggestions to fit the client’s needs and fashion taste.  The volunteer is acting as a personal shopper/consultant.
• ​Providing transportation to and from local train stations and bus stops as needed.

Donor Days

• Receiving clothing donations, sorting the clothing by season and size on clothing racks and organizing accessories, shoes, handbags, etc. to be easily accessed on client days.

General Support

• Volunteers may also assist with fundraising drives.
• Provide us with contacts and leverage networks within the garment industry, particularly manufacturers of plus-size women’s clothing.
• Recruit new volunteers for Career Closet.
